Description

There is more to Italian cuisine than pizza and pasta! Inspired by our travels to regional Italy, in this class you’ll discover the simplistic and fresh approach Italians take to cooking, and prepare an authentic traditional Italian meal. You’ll then relax and enjoy the fruits of your labour over a leisurely lunch, and as they do in Italy you’ll conclude the meal with a glass of lemoncello!

Sample Menu:

  • Assorted Crostini
  • Eggs with Salsa Verde
  • Porcini Risotto with Truffle Oil
  • Prosciutto Wrapped Fillet of Pork
  • Sautéed Green Beans with Toasted Almonds
  • Fennel and Blood Orange Salad
  • Chocolate Nutella & Walnut Cake with Vanilla Mascarpone Cream
  • Freshly Brewed Coffee and Lemoncello

A life’s a feast cooking class is more than just a cooking lesson: in addition to learning to prepare a selection of sumptuous dishes, you will increase your kitchen skills and culinary knowledge AND enjoy the feast of your creation with wine, in a relaxed and fun environment.

Set on the edge of beautiful Noosa National Park, our cooking classes are interactive, hands on and a heap of fun. We limit numbers to 10 participants so everyone is involved, which means you get the chance to prepare and cook all the dishes - you’ll come away knowing you can recreate the dishes at home because you’ve done each and every step.

Once the dishes are prepared, feast on the fruits of your labour with your fellow class mates and enjoy a generous sit down meal, a couple of glasses of wine and some sparkling conversation.

We have been operating for over 10 years and are proud to hold a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2016 and 2017, as well as recently winning the Tourism Noosa Customer Service Award. We are genuinely passionate about food and cooking, and our prime objective is for you to be inspired and to ignite your passion for food whilst having fun in the process. At our boutique cooking school, we use fresh, quality, local produce.

Classes are suitable for all levels of cooking skills. Ingredients, equipment (including aprons), lunch and wine are all provided - you only need bring your enthusiasm and a healthy appetite!

16 November 2019 • Italian Long Lunch Cooking Class

This cooking class was everything i look for. The class was small. It was very hands on. It was informal. Started on time and our instructor, Gail, kept it moving along nicely. The food we cooked was very tasty and not hard to do. We ate everything we cooked at lunch with a couple of glasses of wine. I am very confidant that i will be able to recreate the meal for guests. I also learned lots of hints about cooking in general that will make my life easier. I will definitely be going back for other courses.! There is a great variety on offer

29 January 2016 • Italian Long Lunch Cooking Class

I would like to thank you Gail for a most enjoyable cooking class, which was relaxed and professional at the same time. I left with an enthusiastic attitude and feel I now have the confidence to cook something different, rather than the same boring repertoire when I entertain. I replicated the meal with great success and my guests were most impressed. It was just all so easy, and your step-by-step instructions are fantastic. I can’t wait to be your student again!

29 January 2016 • Italian Long Lunch Cooking Class

From the minute I arrived at this cooking lesson, I knew it was going to be different to other classes I’d been to before (and I have been to a few!) We were greeted with freshly baked muffins and brewed coffee, and I immediately felt welcome. The classes are kept small, so everyone is actively involved with the food preparation and are able to get as much personal instruction as they need. Gail’s relaxed style of teaching combined with her amazing food knowledge made the day a most enjoyable experience. The highlight was sitting down with the other participants and eating the meal we’d made together with a couple of glasses of wine. To sum up: I learnt a lot, laughed a lot and ate a lot!
